JUAN REINOSO
A
native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Juan Reinoso began his career at
a young age as a stage actor. Upon graduation from high school,
Juan moved to New York City and attended Fordham University
at Lincoln Center on a performance scholarship. Studying under
Obie-nominated director Larry Sacharow ('Three Tall Women')
and Tony-nominated director Michael Mayer ('Triumph of Love';
'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown'; 'A View From the Bridge';
'Thoroughly Modern Millie') Juan quickly began to act in several
student films for NY's School of Visual Arts and New York
University. It was then he began to learn the skills of producing,
directing, and writing and began his further passion for film.
Original
plays by Juan Reinoso include the religious satires 'Playing
Tennis With God' and 'The Corner of Quibble & Quib'; the
WWII drama 'Forever Autumn' about the creation of the plutonium
bomb that dropped over Nagasaki; the women's cancer drama
'This Time...'; and the tragic and uplifting experimental
drama 'Harbored Thoughts'.
Feature
film credits include the remake of Where the Red Fern Grows
(with Dave Matthews, Ned Beatty, Dabney Coleman, Mac Davis,
Kris Kristoferson) and the Sundance Film Festival's The Doe
Boy. Other feature credits include co-producing the upcoming
Homecoming.
