In 1999 Juan Reinoso prodcued and directed the stageplay 'Are
You From Down the Road' by playwright R. Dale Whisman. From
the first moment he read the script Juan knew it would make
an amazing film. Determined he sat down and co-wrote the screen
adaptation with Whisman 'Down the Road'. Priniciple photography
began on the film in October 2001 and spent much time in post-production,
with final reshoots taking place in the Spring of 2003. A
long and hard journey, the film, which also underwent many
trying weeks of shooting during the infamous Oklahoma Tornado
Season, the film was completed in early 2004. 'Down the Road'
marks the feature film directorial debut for Juan Reinoso.
It recently premiered at the historical Strand Theatre in
Boston, Mass. to great critical praise. This feature also
marked the inaugural production for Wayfinder Films, a co-venture
between Juan, Robert Guthrie (a feature film actor he befriended
in 2000 on the set of the Chris Eyre-produced feature film
'The Doe Boy'), Colin Tucker, and Matt Drumm.
